A. R Saw Mill Timber Depot Furniture Works

We spend most of our days here at Plot No. 47 in Pangra village, surrounded by logs and the sound of the saw. A. R Saw Mill Timber Depot Furniture Works isn't a fancy place, just a workspace where we cut timber and put together furniture. People from around Nizamabad come by when they need wood for building or a new cupboard for the house. The yard gets pretty dusty, especially in the summer heat, and there's always a pile of sawdust somewhere that needs sweeping. We’ve got the machines for cutting the big logs down to size, and then we spend time in the furniture section finishing pieces off. It is hard work on the hands and the back, but it's what we do. Sometimes the rain slows things down if the wood hasn't been moved under the roof in time, but we manage. You can find us easily enough in Pangra(B), just look for the stacks of wood. We don’t have a big office or anything, just a desk where we handle the orders and talk to the guys who drop off the raw timber. It’s been this way for a while now. Some days are busier than others depending on if there’s a lot of construction going on nearby. We just try to get the pieces cut right and make sure the furniture is sturdy enough to last a few years in someone’s home.
