York Franklin Skill Development & Research Institute is based in Tilak Nagar. We are on the third floor of 22/33 B, in 24 Block. A good landmark for us is the MCD Primary School, which is right nearby. Tilak Nagar is a very busy area with lots of markets and traffic. Climbing up to the third floor can be a bit of a workout, but it’s quieter up there away from the street noise. We have been here for some time now, focusing on teaching different skills to people who come by. Despite the long name, we are a pretty small operation. It’s mostly a few rooms with some equipment and desks. We don't have a fancy lobby or a receptionist to greet you. Usually, you’ll just find one of us working at a desk or helping a student. We do our own paperwork and keep our own schedules. It can get a bit cluttered with all the books and files we have lying around, but we know where everything is. People usually find us because someone they know recommended the place. We don’t do much in the way of marketing. We just focus on the daily tasks and making sure the students have what they need to learn. It’s a practical, no-frills kind of place. We spend most of our time here, just doing the work that needs to be done. It's a bit dusty sometimes but it is where we work.
