Apparel Made Ups And Home Furnishing Sector Skill Council

We are located on the first floor of the Indian Buildings Congress in RK Puram. If you know Delhi, you know this area is full of government offices and busy streets. Our space here on Kama Koti Marg is where all the planning for the apparel and home furnishing sector happens. It’s mostly desks, computers, and a lot of files. People come in from different parts of the city to discuss training standards or to get their certifications sorted out. It’s not a factory, even though we talk about clothes and sewing all day. It’s more of a hub for making sure people in the industry actually know what they’re doing. The office gets quite busy around midday with phone calls and meetings. We spend a lot of time looking at spreadsheets and talking to training partners. The hallways are usually quiet except for the sound of the elevator and people walking to different departments. Being in Sector-6 means we’re right in the middle of everything. We have to deal with the typical Delhi traffic getting here, but once we’re inside, it’s all about the work. We don’t have a big showroom or anything. It’s just a professional space where we try to help the garment industry stay organized. There’s always someone brewing tea or looking over a new set of guidelines. It’s just a regular office life with a focus on textiles and home goods.
