We are based in the basement of S-206 in Panchshila Park. It’s a quiet residential area, so it’s a bit different from the busy markets. Wrapture Couture is where we do all our design and sewing work. Being in a basement means it stays a little cooler, which is nice, but we have to use a lot of lamps to see what we are doing with the delicate fabrics. We have rolls of silk and cotton leaning against the walls and needles everywhere. It’s a small, dedicated team. We don't have a big storefront with mannequins in the window. Most people find us through word of mouth. We spend a lot of time on the floor, pinning things and making adjustments. It’s slow work. You can’t rush this kind of stuff. Sometimes we sit around the big cutting table and just talk while we work on the embroidery. The stairs are a bit narrow, so bringing in new stock is always a bit of a struggle. We’ve had a few leaks when the rains are heavy, but we’ve learned how to protect the fabric. It’s a bit of a hidden spot, but we like it that way. It gives us the peace we need to focus on the small details that matter. We aren't a factory; we’re just a small group making clothes one piece at a time. We keep working until the light fades through the high windows.
