Woolen Work

We are located at G - 3/65 in Model Town - 3rd. It’s a residential-style area, so Woolen Work feels more like a local neighborhood shop than a big company. We’ve been here for quite some time now, working with all sorts of wool and yarn. The space is a bit tight because we have so many sweaters and blankets stored in every corner. You won't find any marble floors or sleek furniture here. We have wooden shelves and some old counters that have seen a lot of use. People from around Model Town often drop by just to see what we have ready. We don’t spend money on advertising or fancy signs. Most of our business comes from people just knowing we are here. It’s a quiet life for the most part, though it gets very busy when the weather starts to turn cold. We spend our days sorting through different grades of wool and making sure everything is labeled correctly. Sometimes the bookkeeping gets a bit behind because we’re busy with the actual stock, but we catch up eventually. It’s a small operation and we like it that way. We don’t have a big mission statement. We just want to provide something useful to the people who come through our door. It’s a simple way to run a business, and it has worked for us for years.
