WOODINO CREATION is located at D-41, Kharak Satbari in the Chattarpur area. It’s a bit of a tucked-away spot, which suits the kind of work we do just fine. Our workshop is where we spend the most of our time, surrounded by piles of wood and the smell of varnish and sawdust. It’s not a shiny, polished showroom; it’s a real working space where things get made by hand. We do have some machines to help with the heavy lifting, but a lot of the finishing is still done the old-fashioned way. Chattarpur is a busy part of Delhi with lots of small businesses tucked into the lanes, and we are right in the middle of it. The road out front can be a bit dusty and narrow, especially when trucks are trying to pass each other. We don’t have a big team of sales people or a corporate office in a glass building. It’s just us and the wood. Some days are long, especially when we are trying to get a project finished on time, and we often leave the shop with sawdust in our hair. The local neighbors are friendly, and there’s always a bit of chatter in the street during the day. We like the hands-on nature of what we do and the fact that we can see something tangible at the end of every day. It’s a simple workshop where we just focus on the actual work of making things for people.
