S. P. Industries

We’ve been at this spot in Kirti Nagar for a long time now. If you head down to the industrial area and look for number 6/13, that is where S. P. Industries sits. It is a noisy place, mostly because of the machines running all day. My father started things here, and now we just keep the floor moving. The floors are usually covered in metal shavings or dust, and we don't bother painting the walls often because they just get dirty again. Most of the guys here have been with us for ten years or more. We show up early, turn on the lights, and get to work on whatever orders came in. It isn't a fancy setup with a big reception or anything like that. You just walk past the main gate and you’ll find us. Kirti Nagar is always crowded, so getting trucks in and out is a bit of a headache every afternoon. We spend a lot of time just managing the space we have. Sometimes the power goes out, and we sit around talking until it comes back. It’s a simple life here. We make stuff, we pack it, and we send it off. There is a small tea stall right around the corner where we all go at four. That is pretty much our routine. We don't have a big marketing team or anything; we just do the work as it comes. It can be exhausting when the weather gets hot, but we just keep at it.
