Leather Kraft India

Our place is at B-72 in the Wazirpur Industrial Area. It’s not the kind of place people come for a stroll. It’s an industrial zone, so there are trucks and noise everywhere. We have a decent sized space here to keep our machines and the raw materials. The floor is concrete and we have big metal shelves for the finished goods. We spend the day handling heavy leather rolls and moving things around. It’s a lot of physical labor. We have a small office in the corner where we handle the paperwork, but mostly we are out on the floor. The air is thick with the smell of glue and leather. We don't have any decorations on the walls, just some calendars and maybe a clock. Working in Wazirpur means we are near a lot of other businesses, so there is always something going on outside. We have a few workers who have been with us for years and they know the machines better than anyone. Sometimes a machine breaks down and we have to fix it ourselves. It’s just how it goes in an industrial area. We don't try to make the place look better than it is. It’s a factory space for making leather items. We get the work done and that is about it for us. We just keep our heads down and stay busy until the shift ends.
