A B C Leather Crafts

Our little shop is over at 17 near Akbar Bhavan in the Yashwant Place Market area of Chanakyapuri. It is not a very big place, just enough room for the leather and our tools. We spend most of our time cutting hides and stitching things together. It usually smells like leather and glue in here, which we have gotten used to over the years. We are not a fancy showroom with bright lights and mirrors. It is more of a workspace where things actually get made. Sometimes the floor is covered in scraps and thread because we are too busy to sweep up every hour. Chanakyapuri is a nice part of town, and we have been in this corner for a long time. People stop by when they need a belt fixed or a bag looked at. We do not do any big advertising or have a corporate office. It is just a few of us doing the work. The leather we use is all different, so every piece comes out a bit unique. We try to be honest about how long a job will take. If we are backed up, we will tell you. We open in the morning and stay until the work for the day is finished. It is a simple life and a simple business. We like the routine of the market.
