Our spot is in Gali Number 39, House Number 1339, over in Madangir. If you’ve ever been to this part of Delhi, you know how tight the lanes can be. We operate as part of India Link Ltd, but here on the ground, it’s just us working out of this house. It’s a busy neighborhood where everyone knows everyone else’s business. We have our office set up in a few rooms, and it gets pretty warm in the summer months despite the coolers. There’s always someone shouting in the street or a motorbike revving, but we’ve learned to tune it out. We spend our time managing whatever comes through the door, usually with a cup of tea nearby. The desk I use has a bit of a wobble, so I put some folded cardboard under one leg to keep it steady. It’s these little things that make the place feel like ours. We don’t put on any acts here. If the office is a bit messy, it’s because we’ve been busy with orders and paperwork. We stay here until the work is done, sometimes well after the streetlights have come on. Madangir has its own rhythm, and we’ve been part of it for long enough to feel like we belong right here in this Gali. It is a crowded place, but there is always something happening to keep us busy.
