Aya Nagar is a bit of a maze if you aren't used to it. Our place at Plot No. G-465 is right on Bandh Road. It’s very close to the bus stop, which is handy for the staff who don't have bikes. Working with UPVC windows means there’s always a bit of dust around. We try to keep it clean, but when you’re moving frames and glass all day, it’s a losing battle. The shop floor is where most of the action happens. It’s loud sometimes. We’ve got tools lying around and samples of frames leaning against the walls. Viico Upvc Windows isn't a showroom with bright lights and fancy displays. It’s more of a workshop. People stop by after getting off the bus just to peer in and see what we’re doing. We don't have a salesperson in a tie waiting at the door. Usually, someone with dusty hands will come out to talk to you. The traffic on Bandh Road is constant. You get used to the sound of horns and engines. In the summer, the heat in the shed can be pretty intense, so we drink a lot of water and take breaks in the shade. It’s honest work. We don't make big promises, we just build the windows and load them onto the trucks. It’s a straightforward way to earn a living in a busy part of Delhi. We've been here for a few years and the neighbors are used to the noise now.
