Sethi Aluminium Decor

We are located on the Mai Road over by Radhe Shyam Park. Most people just see the stacks of aluminium sections when they walk by. We spend most of the day cutting these long silver bars down to size for windows and doors. The noise of the saw is quite loud, so you get used to shouting a bit just to be heard over the machinery. It is a decent spot here, though the traffic on the road can be a bit much when we are trying to load finished frames into the rickshaws. We deal with a lot of glass too, which means we have to be really careful where we step. The shop isn't very large, so we have to use every bit of wall space to lean the materials. It's mostly me and a couple of others here. We drink a lot of tea to keep going, especially in the winter months when the metal gets really cold to touch. People come in with drawings on scraps of paper, asking if we can make a partition for their office or a new frame for their balcony. We just do the work as it comes. Sometimes the measurements are tricky and we have to do it over, but that’s just part of the business. The aluminium dust gets on everything, your hair, your shoes, even your lunch. We’ve been in this area for a bit now and people know where to find us on the road. It’s a practical job. We close up in the evenings.
