About Door Craft – Building & Construction Material in New Delhi
We operate from A-184 in Okhla Industrial Area Phase-II. If you’ve ever been to Okhla, you know it’s a place where things are constantly being built and moved. Our workshop is usually full of the smell of cut wood and the sound of machines running. We make doors, so there is always a lot of heavy lifting involved. The space is large enough for the equipment, but once we have a few big orders of doors finished and leaning against the walls, it gets a bit tight. We don’t have a fancy front office with a receptionist. Usually, if you walk in, you’ll find someone with a pencil behind their ear or covered in a bit of sawdust. We focus on getting the measurements right because if a door doesn't fit, it’s a big problem for everyone. The traffic in Phase-II can be a nightmare in the evenings, so we try to get our deliveries out early in the morning. It’s a gritty, industrial environment, but we like the fact that we are actually creating something solid. We use the same old workbenches we’ve had for years. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to spend half the morning fixing them instead of cutting wood. That’s just part of the daily routine here at Door Craft. We keep at it until the job is done and the customer is satisfied with the final piece.
