Via Design

We’ve got our space at No. C 6/9 in Vasant Vihar. It’s a decent neighborhood and the building is easy enough to find. Via Design is where we handle all sorts of creative projects, but it’s not as glamorous as people think. Most of the time, the tables are covered in sketches, fabric samples, or printed plans that we’ve marked up with pens. We have a few computers that stay on all day, humming in the background. The light in here is pretty good during the morning, which helps when we’re trying to pick out colors. We don't have a receptionist in a suit; usually, you just walk in and one of us will look up from a drawing. It’s a small group of us working here. We spend a lot of time arguing over where a line should go or what material feels right. There are stacks of old magazines and books everywhere for when we need a bit of a break. Vasant Vihar is quiet enough that we can actually focus, though the occasional delivery truck makes some noise. We drink a lot of tea and try to keep the place organized, but it usually gets messy again by Wednesday. It’s just a workspace where we try to figure out how things should look. We don’t use a lot of fancy talk. We just show people what we’ve come up with.
