Havells Interiors

We’ve been here in Janakpuri for a while now. The shop at C3A/82C is where we spend most of our days. It’s not a huge place, but it’s full of samples and catalogs. When people walk in, they usually have an idea of what they want for their house, and we just try to help them find it. Most of our work is about figuring out where a cabinet goes or what color a wall should be. It gets busy on weekends when families come by after shopping nearby. Sometimes the tea guy comes around and we sit for a bit. We don't have a big fancy office, just the desks and the displays. My cousin helps out with the measurements sometimes. We know the neighbors pretty well since we've been on this block for years. It’s a lot of talking to carpenters and making sure they show up on time. Every day is different. One day we are looking at wood grains and the next we are trying to fix a drawing that didn't quite work out. It’s honest work and it keeps us occupied. If you’re walking around Janakpuri, you’ve probably seen our sign. We keep the doors open even when it’s hot outside. There is always someone here to chat if you have questions about a renovation. It is just a regular shop where we get on with things and try to make sense of the designs people bring in.
