Our spot for Vactal Engineer is in Netaji Nagar, New Delhi. The address is F 1608, and it’s right in the middle of everything. If you’ve spent any time in this part of Delhi, you know how it is—a lot of old buildings and narrowish streets. Our office is basically a room packed with tools and papers. It’s not the kind of place where you’d find a polished reception desk. Instead, you’ll likely find a bunch of us looking over drawings or talking about a project. The building is older, so the walls have some marks and the floors are a bit worn down from people walking in and out all day. It gets really hot in the summer, so our air conditioner works overtime, and it makes a loud humming sound. We usually grab lunch from the local stalls nearby or bring something from home. There’s always a bit of dust because of the construction work that seems to happen constantly in Delhi. We have a small shelf for our manuals and some old boxes stacked in the corner. It’s a functional space, nothing more. We don't really care about the decor as long as we have enough light and a place to sit. It’s just a honest day's work in a part of the city that never really goes quiet.
