House No-4 in Pardabad is where we stay and work. Unitech Security Systems isn't some big corporation with a lobby. It’s just our place near Sarojini Nagar where we keep all our gear. We’ve been here for quite some time now. People from the neighborhood usually just walk up to the door if they need a camera fixed or a new lock put in. My brother and I do most of the installations ourselves. We spend a lot of time in the van driving around to different sites. It can get pretty hot in the summer, but we just get on with it. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing team. Most people know us because we've helped their neighbors or the local grocery store. We use basic tools and try to explain things simply. If a wire is loose, we say it's loose. We don't try to sell you things you don't really need. Sometimes we sit on the porch in the evening and talk to people passing by. It’s a quiet life in Pardabad, mostly. We like being our own bosses. It means we can take the time to do a job right without someone breathing down our necks.
