Fashion Hut

Fashion Hut is located at G- 12- B in the L. I. G Flats over in Tilak Nagar. Being in a residential block like the L. I. G Flats means things are a bit different than being in a main market. It feels a lot more local. You hear the sounds of families and the neighborhood kids playing outside while we’re working. The shop is on the ground level, so it’s easy to step in, but the space is a bit tight. We’ve had to get creative with how we stack things on the shelves and hangers. Tilak Nagar is always buzzing, especially in the evenings when everyone is out doing their grocery shopping. We usually open up a bit later in the morning and stay until the streetlights come on. The walls of G- 12- B are a bit thin, so we can hear the neighbor’s television or music sometimes. It’s a very grounded way to work. We don't have any corporate uniforms or anything; we just wear what’s comfortable for moving boxes around and cleaning. The walk to the nearest metro station is a bit of a trek, but it’s a good way to wake up in the morning. Most of our day is spent talking to the regulars who live in the flats or just hanging out by the door when things are slow. It’s a small, local life here in Tilak Nagar and we like the pace of it. We just keep things moving.
