The Little Kingdom School

Located at Ap 9 in Shalimar Bagh, our school is quite a bit smaller than the secondary schools in the area. We mostly have younger children here, which means things stay loud and a little messy. Most of our time goes into picking up crayons and organizing toy bins. The walls are covered in student drawings. They are rarely straight, but we like them that way. There is a small outdoor space where the kids can run around, though the afternoon heat limits how much time they spend out there. Our daily routine is mostly built around stories, snacks, and basic writing. Since most parents live nearby, we see them every single day at the gate. We don't have a big office team. Usually, it’s just a few of us handling the front desk while also looking after the classes. When a kid forgets their lunch or scrapes a knee, we just deal with it. It feels more like a big family home than a stiff institution. We have some old chairs in the waiting area for parents who arrive early for pick-up. The neighborhood is generally quiet, which is great for when the little ones need a nap. We try to keep things friendly so the kids don't feel too bad about being away from home. It’s a lot of work, but it’s what we do here every day and we're quite content with that. There is no point in being overly formal with kids this young, so we just stay practical.
