Little Wonders Nursery School

Running a place like Little Wonders Nursery School in New Friends Colony is definitely not a quiet job. We are at A-298 and if you walk past in the morning, you’ll probably hear the kids singing or maybe someone crying because they didn't want to share a toy. It’s just how it goes with little ones. The building is an older house and we’ve tried to make it look bright with some paint, though the walls get scuffed up pretty fast with all the running around. We spend a lot of time cleaning up spilled juice and looking for lost shoes. It’s a lot of work but seeing them learn how to hold a pencil or finally get the hang of a puzzle makes the long hours okay. The staff here is mostly local folks who have been with us for a while. We aren't some big fancy institution with uniforms and strict rules. It’s more like a second home for the kids while their parents are at work. Sometimes the garden gets a bit messy when it rains, but the children don't seem to mind the mud one bit. We just try to keep things safe and happy for them every day. It’s a small space at A-298 but it’s full of life from morning until the last parent comes to pick up their child in the evening. We don't have a lot of rules about getting a little messy, because that's part of being a kid. We just make sure everyone is looked after well.
