Taxsila Motor Driving School

Trying to teach someone how to drive in Delhi is an adventure every single day. We are located at Shop No. 108 in Chittaranjan Park, right near the Punjab National Bank. CR Park is a famous neighborhood, mostly known for its food and the fish market, but we are here helping people get behind the wheel for the first time. It is a small shop, just enough room for a desk and some chairs where we go over the basic rules before hitting the road. The traffic around here can be quite intimidating for a beginner, so we have to be very patient. We have seen all sorts of students, from nervous teenagers to older folks who finally decided it was time to learn. Our cars aren't brand new, but they are well-maintained and have those extra pedals on our side to keep things safe. Delhi streets are always crowded, and people don't always follow the lanes, so we spend a lot of time explaining how to stay calm. The shop itself is pretty basic. We have some old posters about road signs on the walls and a lot of paperwork piled up on the table. It is a local business through and through. We know the traffic police and the other shopkeepers around the bank. It is a noisy, busy place to work, but there is something nice about seeing a student finally drive off on their own without stalling the engine.
