India Motor Driving Training College is based at R-54 Shakarpur, right on Vikas Marg in Delhi. If you have ever been through this part of the city, you know how the traffic is. It is a busy spot to learn how to drive, but that is actually good for the students. We spend our days sitting in cars with people who are nervous about being behind the wheel. It takes patience. Most of the time, we are just explaining how the clutch works or reminding someone to check their mirrors. Our office in Shakarpur is a simple room where we do the paperwork. It is not fancy. We have a few cars that we use every day. They are not new models, but they run well and the brakes work, which is the important part. Teaching someone to drive in Delhi takes a lot of time. We see all kinds of people, from young kids to older folks who finally decided they need a license. Vikas Marg is always loud, so we have to talk a bit louder sometimes. We don't have a big marketing team. People usually find us because they live nearby or a friend told them about us. We just focus on the lessons and getting people ready for their tests. It’s a straightforward job and we’ve been doing it at R-54 for a long time.
