Our place is located in Village Harsaon, right near the Dasna post in the Ghaziabad district. Being out here in a village setting means things move at a slightly different pace than in the middle of Delhi. We are set up at the address of Santosh Sharma. It’s a processing unit, so there is usually the sound of machinery hum in the background most of the day. We have workers coming in from the nearby areas, and the whole operation is pretty hands-on. We deal with various processing tasks that require us to be on the floor, checking the output and making sure the machines are running like they should. It is dusty work sometimes, and the summer heat in Ghaziabad can be quite something inside the shed. We have some trucks and tempos coming in and out to deliver raw materials or pick up the finished stuff. The office part of the building is just a small room with some ledgers and a ceiling fan that has seen better days. We don't spend much time on the computer unless we really have to. Most of the business is done through face-to-face talks or quick phone calls. It’s a tough, honest way to make a living, and we’ve been doing it this way for a while now. We just focus on the daily tally and getting the orders out on time for our customers.
