STANDARD GOLD

Vishnu Garden is where you will find us, specifically at NW-40. It is a busy residential and commercial mix around here. Our shop, Standard Gold, is a small place but we keep ourselves very busy. There is not a lot of extra space, so we have to be careful about how we organize everything. We deal with gold every day, which sounds more exciting than it actually is when you are doing the work. It involves a lot of weighing, checking, and small tools. The lighting has to be just right, so we have some bright lamps over the counters. It is not a big fancy showroom like the ones you see in the malls. It is more of a traditional workshop feel. We have a heavy safe in the back and some old display cases that have seen better days. The street outside is always full of people and scooters, so there is constant noise. We know most of the people who live nearby. Sometimes they just stop by to say hello. We keep a small notebook for all the daily entries. It is a bit old-fashioned, but it works for us. We don't try to be anything high-end; we just provide a service to the community from our little spot in Vishnu Garden. It is a steady life and we are happy with it. We just take it one day at a time here.
