S.S. & Company

We are located at Z-84 in the Loha Mandi area of Naraina. If you’ve ever been to Loha Mandi, you know it’s a world of its own with iron and steel everywhere you look. S.S. & Company has been operating out of this spot for a long time. The street outside is usually lined with trucks waiting to load or unload heavy metal beams. It’s a gritty place, and you definitely don’t want to be wearing your best clothes when you come visit us. There’s always the smell of grease and the sound of metal clanging against metal. Our warehouse is packed to the rafters, and sometimes it takes a bit of time to dig out exactly what a customer is looking for. We have a small crew that handles the heavy lifting, and they’ve gotten pretty good at maneuvering through the tight spaces between the stacks. The office is just a tiny partitioned area where we keep the books and take phone calls. It gets pretty dusty, no matter how much we try to clean it. Most of our days are spent negotiating with transporters or checking the quality of the latest shipment that arrived. It’s a tough business, but we’ve grown used to the pace of the Mandi. We don't worry about being fancy; we just focus on getting the metal moved to where it needs to go. That is our daily life here.
