Out here in Loha Mandi, things are always moving. Our place is X-38 in the Naraina area. It’s a tough spot with all the trucks and the dust from the steel, but that’s just how a mandi is. S. L. Mittal & Sons has been around long enough that the regulars know exactly where to find us. We deal with a lot of heavy stuff every single day. The yard is usually full of inventory and guys moving things around. It’s noisy and there is always someone shouting over the sound of a crane or a truck engine. We don’t have a fancy showroom. There’s just a small office with a few desks and some old files where we handle the paperwork. My father started this and now we just carry on with the same routine. Customers come in, we talk prices, we check the stock, and then we load up the orders. Sometimes the traffic in Naraina is a nightmare, so we tell people to come early if they want to get in and out fast. It’s not a glamorous job, and your clothes will definitely get dirty if you hang around too long. But we take pride in being here every morning and staying until the work is finished. We know our regulars by name and they know we don't mess around with the quality of what we supply.
