Springwel Mattresses Pvt Ltd is located right in the middle of Mangol Puri Industrial Area, Phase-II, at plot A-49. If you’ve ever been around this part of Delhi, you know how busy it gets with trucks and workers everywhere. Our building is usually humming with the sound of the machines cutting foam and stitching fabric. It’s a pretty big operation, and there’s always a lot of heavy lifting involved. We move mattresses out of the loading bay all day long, stacking them up for the delivery vans that go out to the city. The air inside smells like fresh textiles and sometimes that specific scent of new foam. We’ve got a team that’s been here for years, and they can tell a good spring from a bad one just by the sound it makes when it’s compressed. It’s not a glamorous job, but everyone needs a place to sleep, so we stay busy even in the off-season. The summers get really hot in the warehouse, but we keep the big fans going and get the work done. We don't spend much time on fancy talk; we just focus on making sure the layers are straight and the stitching is tight before the plastic wrap goes on. Sometimes the traffic on the main road makes it hard for the trucks to get out on time, which is always a bit of a headache for the loaders.
