Top Line Food Equipment Pvt. Ltd is down in the lower ground floor at A-1/68 in Safdarjang Enclave. Being in a basement means we don’t get a lot of natural light, but it stays a bit cooler than the street level during those long Delhi summers. The space is packed with all sorts of kitchen gear like heavy stoves, mixers, and stainless steel tables. It’s a bit of a maze trying to walk from the front desk to the back storage area without bumping into a fridge or a rack. We spend most of our time answering the phone and trying to help people find the right parts for their kitchens. It’s a busy place and there’s always someone coming in or out with a delivery or a repair job. We have a small corner with a table where we keep the catalogs and some old files that we really should sort through. There’s a tea stall just around the corner, and we usually send someone out a couple of times a day to get a round for everyone. It’s a bit messy and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re usually too busy with the equipment to worry about that. We just focus on keeping track of the inventory and making sure we know what’s in stock when someone calls. It’s a practical, no-nonsense kind of place to work.
