Sportena Fashion Private Limited is located at Flat No 10 in the Janta Tenament area of Madangir. It’s in South Delhi-110062, and it’s definitely not a corporate office building. We work out of a flat, which makes the whole thing feel more like a home project that grew into a real business. We focus on sports-related fashion, so there are always jerseys and athletic wear hanging from the doors and piled on the chairs. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze with the four of us working in there, but we get along well enough. Madangir is a lively area with a lot of energy, and that fits what we are doing with the sports clothing. The flat stays relatively cool in the mornings, but by afternoon, we have to turn on all the fans to keep from sweating over the merchandise. We don't have a big sign outside or anything, just the address on the door. Most people find us through word of mouth or because they know someone in the tenement. We spend our time checking the stitching on gym shorts or making sure the logos are printed straight. It’s a very hands-on kind of job. We don’t have a mission statement on the wall; we just have a list of what needs to be packed and shipped by the end of the week. It is just a regular local business trying to do things right in our corner of Delhi.
