About Spice Hot Spot – Food & Beverages in New Delhi
People know us at Satya Niketan 9 as that place where the air always smells like ground cumin and fried chillies. We started Spice Hot Spot just because we liked cooking for the students nearby. It’s a small space, nothing fancy. You’ll see a few plastic chairs and a counter that has seen better days. Every morning, we get the fresh stuff from the market and start prep. It gets loud around lunch. Sometimes we run out of things earlier than expected because the crowd is just too much. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us handling the stove and the bills. The walls have some old posters and the fan makes a bit of noise, but it keeps the heat away. We don’t really do much advertising. People just find us by following the smell of the food or seeing their friends sitting here. It’s mostly about getting the orders out fast. We spend a lot of time cleaning the counters and making sure the jars are filled. If you come by, you’ll probably see us arguing over whose turn it is to chop the onions. It’s just how things go here day after day. We’ve been in this spot for a good while now and know most of the faces that walk in. It's just a regular local shop trying to keep up with the daily rush of the neighborhood. Nothing more to it really.
