Spacematters

We’ve been running Spacematters out of the office at C-9, 9812 Vasant Kunj for a while now. It is a decent enough area, though finding a parking spot can be a real headache some mornings. Usually, you’ll find a few of us hunched over desks, either staring at screens or arguing about where a wall should go. We don't really go in for those big corporate speeches. We just like to get on with the job. Most days involve a lot of phone calls to contractors and trying to make sure the materials arrive when they’re supposed to, which doesn’t always happen. That is just how things tend to work. The office isn't anything special to look at, just a practical space where we can keep all our rolls of blueprints and samples. We get a mix of people coming in. Some are looking to fix up a small room and others arrive with much bigger plans. We take it as it comes. It's interesting to see what people want to do with their property. We spend a lot of time just listening and then drawing things up. Sometimes the ideas work right away, and other times we have to go back to the start. It’s a lot of back and forth. We don't pretend to have all the answers immediately. Put in the hours, though, and we try to make sure the final result is something solid that people can actually use without any fuss.
