Dimension Designer is tucked away in M 54, Saket, right in the middle of South Delhi. Being in Saket means there’s always something going on outside, and the energy of the city definitely finds its way into our office. We’re not a huge firm with hundreds of employees; we’re a smaller team that spends a lot of time hunched over desks or looking at samples of materials. Our space is usually cluttered with rolls of drawings, color swatches, and half-finished models. It’s a bit of a mess sometimes, but we know where everything is. We spend a lot of our time talking to clients about their homes or offices, trying to figure out how to make a space work better for them. Delhi has all sorts of buildings, old and new, and we deal with all of them. Sometimes we’re out at a dusty construction site getting our shoes dirty, and other times we’re sitting here in the AC trying to get a design just right. It’s a lot of back and forth, making changes and checking measurements. We don’t go for anything too flashy. We just try to be practical and listen to what people actually need for their daily lives. The coffee machine in the corner gets a lot of use, especially when we’re working late to finish a project. It’s just how things go here in Saket, and we are quite happy with the way we do things.
