Sonni Traders

Sonni Traders is tucked away in Shop No.220 over in Tagore Garden. We are pretty close to Holy Child School, so we get a lot of parents and kids walking by throughout the day. The shop itself isn't very large, but we manage to fit a lot of stuff on the shelves. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes when a new delivery comes in and we have to stack boxes in the aisles. We open up early most mornings and stay until the sun goes down. Most people in the neighborhood know where we are. Dealing with suppliers is probably the hardest part of the job, as things don't always arrive when they say they will. We have some old wooden counters and the floor is a bit worn out from all the walking, but it works for us. It’s just how things go in Tagore Garden. We try to keep things organized but sometimes it’s a mess after a busy afternoon. We don’t really do any big advertisements or anything like that. People just find us by walking past or hearing about us from a neighbor. It gets pretty busy around the time school lets out. We spend a lot of time just talking to the locals who stop in for one thing or another. It’s a simple life running a shop here. We keep a small radio in the corner playing some music, which helps pass the time when it's slow. We’ve been in this spot for a good while and the walls could tell stories.
