If you head down to Mohan Garden in Uttam Nager, you’ll find us at L. 2/11. Sigma Computer Consultants has been tucked away in this part of New Delhi for a good while. The shop is usually filled with towers of old CPUs, tangled cables, and monitor screens that we’re testing. It’s a bit of a mess to be honest, but we know where everything is kept. We spend most of our time opening up hardware, cleaning out dust, and trying to figure out why someone’s laptop stopped turning on. It’s busy work because things are always breaking down. The noise of Delhi is always there in the background, but we just get on with it. Sometimes people bring in machines that are ancient, and we have to tell them it’s hard to find the parts anymore. We don't have a receptionist or anything fancy; you just walk in and talk to whoever is behind the counter with a screwdriver in their hand. We handle a lot of small software glitches too. The power goes out occasionally, which is a pain when you’re mid-repair, but that’s just life in this neighborhood. We’ve helped a lot of local shops get their systems running when they crash. It’s not glamorous work, and our hands are usually a bit dirty from the grease and dust inside the machines, but we like the technical side of things and solving the problems that come our way on a daily basis. It’s what we know.
