Our business, Shree Vaishno Hing Bhandar LLP, is right on the ground floor at C 9/3 in the Lawrence Road Industrial Area. If you know Lawrence Road, you know it is all about industry and warehouses. It is dusty and loud, but it is where the work happens. We focus on hing, which as anyone knows, has a very particular and heavy scent. You can probably smell us before you see the sign on the door. We have been here for a while now. The ground floor makes it easy to move stuff in and out without dealing with stairs or elevators that always seem to break down. We don't have any fancy office furniture. We have some sturdy tables and a lot of storage space. It’s a practical setup for a practical business. We are not trying to change the world; we are just providing something that people use in their kitchens every day. The staff is small, and we all know each other well. Sometimes the traffic on Lawrence Road is so bad that it takes an hour just to get out of the area, but that is life in Delhi. We don't use big words or have meetings that last for hours. We just get the hing ready and send it out. It’s honest work, and we are proud of being part of this industrial hub. We don't need things to be polished to be good.
