Over at A-278 in the Okhla Industrial Area, our days are usually pretty loud and full of movement. Shama International Pvt. Ltd. is basically our base of operations where we handle all the daily tasks that come our way. Being in an industrial zone means there is always the sound of trucks and machinery from the units next door. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find plush carpets or quiet offices. Instead, it’s mostly concrete floors, desks piled with papers, and a lot of boxes moving in and out. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking lists to make sure everything is where it should be. The traffic in Okhla can be a real mess sometimes, so we often have to wait for deliveries that get stuck. We drink a lot of tea to keep ourselves going through the long afternoons. The building itself is just a regular industrial block, nothing special to look at from the street. We’ve been at this address for quite some time now, so we know all the nearby tea stalls and where to find the best snacks. It feels like a community of workers all trying to get through their shift. Sometimes the power goes out and everything goes quiet for a bit, which is a strange change. We just keep working away at whatever needs doing next in the warehouse.
