It is a bit of a maze back in these lanes if you are not used to the neighborhood. We have got our workspace set up here where we handle all the clothes and the stitching. The building has been around for quite some time, and it feels like a real part of the community. There are always kids playing in the street and people chatting near the doorways. Inside, we have our machines and tables where we sort through different materials. It is not a fancy showroom, just a place where the work happens every day. We usually start early in the morning before the heat gets too bad. Most of the people around here know us by name. We do not really have a big website or anything, we just do our work and talk to the people who come by. The space is filled with threads, needles, and stacks of folded fabric waiting to be turned into something. Sometimes the power goes out for an hour or two, so we just take a break and wait it out.
