Semikam

Semikam is based right in the middle of the Main Market in Vasant Vihar, over in Block C. Since we are in the market, there is never a dull or quiet moment around here. From the early morning hours, you can hear the shutters of the nearby shops clattering open and the delivery bikes start zipping through the lanes. Our space is just a regular unit among many others in this row. We have been here for a good number of years now, and we’ve watched the market grow and change. Inside, the space is mostly taken up by tall shelves and a couple of desks for the paperwork. We deal with various technical items and some chemical supplies depending on what the orders are for that week. It’s just a small team of us working here. We know the guy who brings the tea around and the owners of the stationery shop next door. Finding a place to park in Block C is a nightmare, so we always tell our visitors to try and come very early or just use a rickshaw. Our office doesn't have any bright neon signs or fancy decorations. It’s just a simple wooden board with our name on it. We spend most of our time answering the phone and checking the boxes. It’s a busy but predictable life. We like being part of the local market scene and seeing the same faces.
