Sargam Apparel

Our shop is over in Sangam Vihar at H-16/1906. If you're looking for us, we’re right near the police chowki. It’s a very busy neighborhood with lots of narrow lanes and people everywhere. We make apparel here. Most of the space is taken up by sewing machines and cutting tables. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze when we have a lot of fabric rolls delivered. The noise of the machines is constant from morning until we close up. We have a few windows, but they mostly look out onto the street which is always full of activity. We don't have a fancy storefront. It’s just a place where we get the sewing done. Our team is local, mostly people from the surrounding blocks. We have tea breaks together and talk about whatever is happening in the news. It’s a simple setup. We don't use big words or have any corporate slogans. We just try to finish the clothes on time so we can get paid and go home. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to sit around and wait for it to come back. That's just part of being in Sangam Vihar. We’ve been here at this address for a while and the police nearby know us well enough. It's a crowded little corner but we've made it our own over the years.
