Sajini Garments (Opc) Private Limited is located in the heart of the city at Connaught Place. We are up on the 13th floor of Dr. Gopal Das Bhawan on Barakhamba Road. It’s a very different feel from the street markets because we are so high up. You can see the whole of Delhi from some of the windows if you stand in the right spot. Since it’s an OPC, it’s a small operation. We spend a lot of time waiting for the elevators, which can be a bit slow during lunch hours when everyone in the building comes out at once. The office is mostly filled with samples and racks of garments that we are checking. It’s a bit more corporate-looking than a market shop just because of the building, but inside, it’s just as messy with threads and fabric scraps. We don't have a big team, so everyone does a bit of everything, from answering the phone to packing boxes. The air conditioning is nice when it works, but the office still feels lived-in and a bit cluttered. We usually grab a quick bite from the stalls behind the building instead of the fancy cafes in CP. It’s a long day, starting early and often staying until the lights in the other offices start going out. We just focus on getting the garments out on time and keeping the paperwork straight and organized.
