It’s a tall building, and getting a spot in the elevator in the morning is a struggle. Our office is just one of many in this big block. It’s got that old-school office building smell—paper and floor cleaner. We have a few desks pushed together and some filing cabinets that have seen better days. Sahaj Developers isn't a huge firm. We have a small team that handles everything from the paperwork to the site visits. The noise of the city is always there in the background, even on the eighth floor. We spend a lot of time looking at maps and permits. Sometimes we eat lunch at our desks because there’s too much to do. Kg Marg is a busy address, but our daily life is pretty ordinary. We deal with the same problems as anyone else—late deliveries, confusing forms, and broken printers. We don't put on airs here. If you come by, you’ll see us in our shirtsleeves, probably arguing over a floor plan or checking the latest regulations. It’s a busy life in a busy building. We just try to keep things moving forward one day at a time without making a big fuss about it. That is the way we have always worked in this space.
