Rossell Tea Limited

Rossell Tea Limited is on the first floor of the DCM Building. If you have ever been to Barakhamba Road, you know it is one of those big, wide streets with lots of old office blocks. We are at number 16. It is a busy place with people in suits walking fast everywhere. Inside our office, it smells like tea most of the time. We have these small samples that come in from the gardens, and we have to go through them. It isn't as exciting as it sounds, mostly just looking at leaves and writing things down in ledgers. The DCM building has been here for years, and our office has that slightly worn-in feel. The elevators are sometimes slow, so some of us just take the stairs to the first floor. It is easier that way. We spend a lot of time on the phone or typing up reports. The desks are a bit cluttered with papers and tea tins. It gets quiet in the late afternoon when the sun hits the windows. We don't have any fancy decorations on the walls, just some calendars and old photos. It is a steady job in a part of Delhi that never seems to stop. We take our tea breaks seriously, as you might expect. Sometimes we go downstairs to the street to get a snack from the vendors. It is just our daily routine here at Barakhamba. We usually pack up around six and join the crowd heading to the metro.
