Working out of the M.T. Cloth Store area at number 200 keeps us right in the middle of all the action. Ras Attire is all about the clothes, and being in this specific part of town makes a lot of sense for what we do. It’s a busy spot with people and carts always moving about in the street. Our workspace is usually filled with different fabrics and finished pieces waiting to be packed up. There’s always that specific smell of new cloth in the air that you get used to after a while. We aren't some high-end boutique with bright lights and glass walls; it’s more of a working shop where the actual work gets done. We spend a lot of time measuring things, checking the seams, and talking to our suppliers on the phone. It can get pretty loud during the day with the street noise and the general bustle of the local cloth market. We’ve been here for a while and we have our own way of doing things. It’s not always organized perfectly, but we know where every pile is located. The team is just a few of us who have been in the trade for years. We don't bother with fancy presentations or anything that sounds too corporate. If you walked in, you’d see us surrounded by piles of attire and probably some half-empty tea cups. It’s just a practical life for us. We focus on getting the attire ready and keeping the shop going.
