Radha Madhav Garments is located in the heart of Gandhi Nagar, which is one of the biggest garment markets you’ll find. Our specific spot is X/331 in Raghubar Pura No-1, right on Gali No-5. If you’ve ever walked through Gali No-5, you know it’s packed with people and fabric. Our place is always buzzing with activity because the garment trade never really stops around here. We have stacks of clothes everywhere, from the floor to the ceiling. It’s a bit of a squeeze to move around sometimes, especially when the machines are all running at once. We do a lot of the basic garment work here, like stitching and checking for loose threads. The noise of the market outside is constant, with rickshaws and carts moving goods all day long. We don't have a quiet office or a fancy place to sit; it’s a working shop through and through. The floor is concrete and we have big fans to keep the air moving because it gets stuffy with all the fabric. We’ve been in this part of East Delhi for a while and we know most of the other shop owners on the street. It’s a tough, fast-paced environment, but it’s what we know. We just focus on getting the batches finished and sent out to the wholesalers. It's a lot of long hours, but we keep at it day after day.
