Prakash Cold Drink

Being located near Hedgewar Hospital means there are always people walking around our area. We are located at Plot No.22 in Block D of Shahdara East. Arjun Nagar is a crowded part of town, but it has its own energy. Prakash Cold Drink is a small setup and we spend most of our time making sure the refrigerators are running and cold enough. When the power goes out, which happens, we worry about the stock getting warm. It’s not a big shop at all, just enough space for the crates and a small counter. People coming from the hospital often stop by because they are tired or just need a cold drink. We see a lot of different faces, some regulars from the neighborhood and some just passing through for appointments. The dust from the main road is constant, so we are always wiping down the bottles and the shelves. It’s a simple life. We start early to get the deliveries in before the traffic gets too bad in Shahdara. The hospital is the main landmark, otherwise, people might miss our turn. It’s a bit of a maze in Block D if you aren’t used to the small streets. We have a few plastic chairs outside, but they are usually taken by people waiting. My hands are always cold from handling the ice and the bottles all day. It’s steady work and keeps us busy until late.
