If you’ve ever been down to Panchkuian Furniture Market, you know how hectic it gets. We are tucked away at L.G.-36 in Palika Place. It’s been our home for years now, surrounded by the smell of sawdust and wood polish. Pooja Furnishers isn't a massive showroom with air conditioning and soft music. It’s more of a workshop vibe where things actually get made and moved around. The floors are often covered in wood shavings, and there’s always someone hammering something in the back. We have a lot of regular customers who come back because they know we don’t do the whole corporate sales pitch thing. We just show you what we have and tell you how it’s made. Panchkuian is a competitive place, but we just focus on the pieces sitting in front of us. Sometimes the narrow aisles in Palika Place get crowded with deliveries, but we manage to navigate through it. It’s hard work, especially when the weather gets hot and the fans just move the warm air around, but we like the pace of it. We aren't trying to be the biggest name in Delhi; we just want to keep making furniture that doesn't fall apart after a month. Stop by if you’re wandering the market; we’re usually there from morning until late evening, just keeping the saws running and checking the finishes. It's just a regular furniture shop in a busy market that’s seen a lot of history.
