We are located at 11, Community Centre in Panchsheel Park. It is a fairly quiet spot for an office in Delhi. The building isn't too tall, and we occupy a space that looks out over some of the trees in the area. Inside, there are a lot of desks pushed together, and almost every surface is covered with books or manuscripts. It is not as tidy as you might expect a big company to be; there are stacks of paper everywhere and people's personal mugs scattered around. We have a small kitchen area where the kettle is always running because we drink a lot of tea and coffee while we work. The light coming through the windows is quite good in the mornings, which helps when we are trying to read small print. Sometimes the elevator in the community centre is a bit slow, so we just take the stairs to get to the office. The neighborhood has a few other shops and places to eat, so lunchtimes are usually spent wandering around nearby. We don't have any flashy decorations on the walls, just some old posters and bookshelves that have been here for years. It feels like a place where people actually work hard rather than a corporate showroom. We just show up every day, handle the editing and the logistics, and try to keep the stacks of books from falling over.
