Pekoe Tips Tea is situated at 17, Vasant Place Shopping Complex, in Sector-6, R.K. Puram. It’s a small shop in a busy local complex. We have been here for a while, and the place is usually full of the scent of different tea leaves. It’s a simple setup with wooden shelves and glass jars. We don't spend money on fancy decorations because the tea is what matters. People from the neighborhood stop in quite often, some just to chat while they pick up their weekly supply. R.K. Puram is a quiet residential area mostly, but this shopping complex stays active. We spend a lot of time sorting through samples and making sure the bags are sealed tight. It’s a hands-on business. Sometimes we are here late into the evening weighing out portions or updating the stock books. The floor is a bit worn from all the foot traffic over the years. We have a small back room where we keep the bulk sacks. Dealing with tea is a slow process; you can't rush it. We know most of our customers by their names and what kind of blend they prefer. It’s just a small local shop trying to provide something decent to the people around here. We don't have any big corporate goals, just keeping the shop running and making sure the quality stays the same as it was when we first opened the doors. The tea arrives in big boxes every Tuesday and we spend all morning getting it organized.
