Meenu Gupta

I run my work out of Patparganj and have been here for quite some time now. My name is Meenu Gupta and this is basically a small operation where I handle everything myself or with a little bit of help. Patparganj is a busy residential and industrial mix and it suits the kind of work I do. I don't have a giant warehouse or a fancy storefront with glass windows. It is more of a workspace where I can focus on the details of the orders. Often, my desk is buried under papers and fabric swatches. I started this because I wanted to do something on my own terms without the corporate headache. The neighborhood is familiar to me and I know most of the people who work nearby. It is a lot of long hours sometimes, especially when there is a deadline looming, but it is better than being in a boring office. I don't use any fancy language to describe what I do; I just take on the work, do my best with it, and move on to the next thing. People usually find me through someone they know. It is a very local way of doing things. I spend my days checking on materials and talking to suppliers. It is not always perfect and things get messy, but that is just how a small business goes in a place like Patparganj. I usually have a cup of tea in the morning before starting.
