Manjushree Wear

Our place is located in Amrapali Apartment, specifically in room 302 on Plot No. 56. Being situated in the Patparganj IP Extension area means there are always people moving around the different residential blocks. It’s a bit different from a normal shop because we are inside an apartment building rather than having a storefront on the main road. You have to come up to the third floor to find where we work. We started Manjushree Wear here because it was a bit quieter and we could focus on the sewing. The rooms are filled with different fabrics, threads, and a couple of old sewing machines. It’s not really decorated like a showroom; it’s more of a workspace where things actually get made. We spend our hours cutting out patterns and checking the stitching on each piece. The balcony looks out over the other buildings in the complex, and sometimes we see the neighbors drying their clothes. It gets a bit cramped when we have a lot of work to finish, and rolls of cloth sometimes end up stacked in the hallway. We have a small tea kettle in the corner for when we take a short break in the afternoon. It’s mostly just the steady sound of the machines and the occasional delivery person knocking on the door. We don't do much advertising at all. People usually just find us because someone told them about our little spot in the building.
